Stocks in the Asia-Pacific region finished in the red on Monday, amid an escalation in the ongoing trade war between the US and China after US President Trump tweeted last Friday that Washington will hike tariffs on $250 billion worth of Chinese goods to 30% from 25% beginning October 1st, and raising tariffs planned to start in September on $300 billion of goods, from 10% to 15%.
