After several months of examinations, by the end of May 2019 the Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU) finally decided that the four shipping companies reported in the allegation of monopoly in the Freight Container Service Industry guilty. They’re thus fined. The KPPU also issued recommendations for the Ministry of Transportation. Separately, the examination into the allegation of cartel-like practices related to the increase of salt prices continues.
