Indonesia hopes that China can immediately realize its commitment to increase palm oil imports from Indonesia. In addition, the government hopes that China can open up its markets to various Indonesian products, including fruit products, such as Indonesian pineapple.

This was revealed by Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi in a meeting with China State Councilor Wang Yi, the day before the meeting of the 2nd Belt Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF II) on Wednesday (April 24).

During the meeting, the two ministers discussed efforts to enhance cooperation, both at the bilateral, regional and multilateral levels. Marsudi also encouraged the value of trade between Indonesia and China to be more balanced.
