China posted a trade surplus of US$32.64 billion in March 2019, reversing from a rare deficit of US$5.77 billion in the same month a year earlier, as exports rose while imports fell. Year-on-year, exports soared 14.2%, while imports declined by 7.6%. Considering the first three months of the year, the trade surplus widened sharply to US$76.52 billion from US$44.85 billion in the same period the prior year.
