Indonesia’s trade deficit widened to US$1.10 billion in December 2018 from US$0.24 billion in the same month a year earlier and beating market consensus of a US$0.93 billion gap, Tradingeconomics.com reported. It was the third straight month trade gap, as exports dropped while imports increased. Exports went down 4.62% to US$14.18 billion, missing expectations of 1.81% rise. Meanwhile, imports rose 1.16% to US$15.28 billion, below forecasts of a 6.60% gain.
