Asian markets were poised for a positive start to the first trading day of the week, following gains seen stateside as investors focused on jobs numbers and trade talks, Cnbc.com reported. U.S. stocks gained on Friday (May 4) despite a mixed jobs report. Investors also digested the release of April non-farm payrolls, which rose by 164,000. Weaker-than-expected U.S. wage growth helped to calm investorĀ  ears about rising interest rates and inflation.
