State port operator PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo) 3 invests Rp1.15 trillion in purchasing 15 new vessels. Currently it has 23 operating firms, including affiliates. Pelindo 3 has signed contracts for building maritime infrastructure for Tanjung Perak port (Surabaya), Benoa port (Bali), and Gili Mas port (Lombok). It partners with Dutch-based Van Oord and two state construction firms; Wijaya Karya (WIKA) and PT Pembangunan Perumahan (PTPP). Pelindo 3 allocates Rp13 trillion capital expenditure (capex) for this year.
