The Financial Services Authority (OJK) said that the Japanese lender Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ (BTMU) will acquire 40% shares in Bank Danamon Indonesia (BDMN) in two phases starting early next year. BDMN has earlier confirmed BTMU’s plan to acquire majority shares from Temasek Holding’s Asia Financial Indonesia Pte Ltd.
