Bank Mandiri (BMRI) plans to inject Rp500 billion to its syariah unit, PT Bank Syariah Mandiri (BSM), helping BSM to maintain its capital adequacy ratio (CAR) at 14%. BMRI also mulls to launch the initial public offering (IPO) for BSM within next 2 years. BSM’s assets reached Rp84.1 trillion per September 2017. Its financing reached Rp58.7 trillion and third party funds amounted Rp74.8 trillion.
