Indonesia’s Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported on Tuesday (August 1) that July inflation remained under control. It was recorded at 0.22% month-on-month (m/m), attributed to rising prices in most expenditure group indices, but particularly foodstuffs (+0.21%), processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco (+0.57%), housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel (+0.06%), clothing (+0.06%), health (+0.15%), and education, recreation and sports (+0.62%). Meanwhile, an expenditure group that experienced deflation was transportation, communication and financial services (-0.08% ) in July 2017.To subscribe please click here
