As planned, state-owned airport operator PT Angkasa Pura (AP) II will build new terminal area (terminal-4) in Soekarno-Hatta international airport in 2020, with the capacity equal to terminal-3. Terminal-3 project has concluded, then leading to the construction of runaway 3. At current time, AP II is conducting detail engineering design (DED) for terminal-4 ahead of its physical construction. The traffic of passengers have now reached 60 million per year, including 5-6 million passengers at Halim airport. AP II said the traffic passengers for both Soekarno-Hatta and Halim airport are anticipated to reach 100 million.
