World crude steel production for the 67 countries, as reported by the World Steel Association (worldsteel), was 143.32 million tons (Mt) in May, a 2% increase compared to May 2016, lifted mostly by 13.2% growth of Brazil’s output (to 2.93 million tons in the month).
