Back in October 2016, a number of parties filed a Judicial Review petition at the Constitutional Court to challenge the constitutionality of five articles in the Law No. 8/1981 on the Code of Criminal Procedures. These articles regulate the coordination mechanism between investigators and public prosecutors, particularly regarding the obligation of the investigators to notify the public prosecutors at the commencement of inquisition.
