Some head of states are known for their affinity in this and that sport. Whereas the President of the United States Barack Obama is a well-known, avid golf player. President of Indonesia Joko “Jokowi” Widodo recently revealed to the public that he’s learning archery. Back in September 2016, the President made a guest appearance in a video blog that his youngest son Kaesang runs on the social media platform Youtube. Therein Jokowi is shown honing his archery skills. Who knew then that tomorrow (Saturday, January 21), the President will take part in an archery competition organized by the Indonesian Military? The competition will open tomorrow in Bogor. And people are now wondering, is this just the President’s newfound pastime, or is there something else he’s trying to convey?
