Today, Nov. 7, the incumbent Governor of Jakarta Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama is scheduled to undergo a questioning session as a witness in a blasphemy case at the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Division (Bareskrim POLRI) office. Ahok’s rivals in Jakarta’s 2017 gubernatorial election and their supporters, expect the Bareskrim to name the Governor as suspect. That way the incumbent would drop out of the race.
