The incumbent Governor of Banten Rano Karno, who has secured PDI-P’s nomination to run for his re-election in the 2017 gubernatorial race, has not yet decided on who he will have as his running mate. Several names have been mentioned as potential running mate for Rano, who is likely to go head-to-head against Wahidin Halim and his running mate Andika Hazrumy.
