The motorcycle taxi (ojek) hailing smartphone application Go-Jek developed a partnership with over 200 thousand drivers in major cities in Indonesia. With this extremely vast network, Go-Jek has become an economic player in the transportation sector, connecting consumers to supplies with relative ease. Go-Jek’s impact is undeniable, which would explain why the sheer reaction of its consumers against the Ministry of Transportation recent banning of Go-Jek resulted with a change of policy that happened overnight literally.
