Traditional media companies have mostly moved into the digital sphere, but they have done so while maintaining their conservative shape and form; replicating the experience of reading the paper online. New media companies, on the other hand, are changing the format, often delivering articles in a style similar to blogging—punchy, short, and yet entertaining. These new media enterprises include the New-York-based Vice Media Inc. and BuzzFeed Inc.; Singapore-based STOMP; and Bangkok-based Coconuts Media.
