Bank Indonesia (cenral bank) reported on Wednesday (July 22) that the government’s foreign loan rose 5.9% year-on-year to US$302.3 billion as of May 2015, compared to 7.7% growth in the previous month. The public sector’s foreign loan reached US$133.5 billion or 44.2% of the total loan, while private sector’s foreign loan amounted to US$168.7 billion or 55.8% of total loan. Private sector’s foreign loan increased 10.2% in May, slower than 13.2% growth in April 2015, while public sector’s foreign loan rose 1%, against 1.5% growth in April.To subscribe please click here
