The Government of Indonesia is still optimistic with achieving their 5-5.2% growth target, even though the economy only grew by 4.71% in the first quarter of this year. Finance minister Bambang Brodjonegoro said that he expected the economy to grow by 4.9% in the second quarter, 5.2% in the third quarter, and 5.2% in the fourth quarter. Growing consumption during the Fasting Month and Ramadhan would help support economic growth. The government will maintain the supply of goods, to achieve the inflation target of 4-4.5% by end of this year.
