On Feb. 12, 2015, two patients died at the Lippo-controled Siloam hospital Lippo Village Karawaci after they were injected with a local anaesthetic drug called Buvanest Spinal, a brand produced by the largest pharmaceutical company in Indonesia PT Kalbe Farma (KLBF) . In matters of days, the case grabbed the attention of the Ministry of Health and the National Food and Drugs Agency, BPOM.
