Indonesian law enforcement officials have raised their concern regarding the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, otherwise known as ISIS. The group have become a security threat to Indonesia, especially since Abu Bakar Ba’asyir, the spiritual leader of Indonesia’s terrorist network, declared his support of the ISIS movement on Jul. 15. Several hundred hardline groups based in Solo, Central Java; Malang, East Java; Jakarta and Ciputat have also openly declared their support of ISIS.
