Bank Central Asia (BBCA), the largest bank in Indonesia by market capitalization, booked net profit of Rp7.85 trillion in the first half of 2014, grew 24.21% from the corresponding period of 2013. The bank posted almost 26% growth in net interest income. Bank Permata, whose total asset is about one-third of BCA, meanwhile, suffered 2.2% decline in net profit, as its net interest income grew only 4.32%.
