Eight years ago, hot mudflow erupted from oil and gas drilling in Sidoarjo, East Java operated by Bakrie Group. Bakrie’s partners, Medco Group and Santos Ltd (Australia), have long a go left the area. Thousands of families, unfortunately, have yet to get compensations. Interesting that president candidate Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo attended 8th Anniversary of the Mudflow Thursday (May 29). He was greeted by thousands of people.
