PDI-P chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri’s decision to nominate Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo as president candidate gets thumbs up from political observers. Megawati also harvests respects and criticism from opponents, including her former running mate in 2009 election Prabowo Subianto. Prabowo has aggressively attacked Megawati, PDI-P, and Jokowi. Jokowi’s supporters consider Prabowo too emotional, but others decided to rally behind him in assailing Jokowi.
