If you’ve been paying attention to media reports after the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) had nominated Joko “Jokowi” Widodo as its presidential candidate, you’d notice several senior politicians declaring their willingness to be paired with Jokowi. It’s courting time. It’s difficult to say who has the most realistic chance of becoming Jokowi’s pair given that the real (vice) presidential nomination can only be done after the legislative election. But that doesn’t mean we don’t already have hints on how PDI-P would decide.
