Where are things now with the Jakarta-Foxconn deal? The Mayor of North Jakarta, Heru Budihartono, told journalists at the signing of the Letter of Intent between the Jakarta Government and Foxconn Technology Group a few weeks back that both parties will sign a Memorandum of Understanding in April 2014. At the same occassion, Foxconn will hand over the design of their manufacturing facility to the Jakarta Government. But what will happen after that? Will this deal happen at all?
