In general, the new Trade Law is a good thing, simply by virtue of the fact that it’s there to replace the obsolete 1934 Bedreijfsreglementerings Ordonnantie on which our current trade policies and regulations are based. But what about the content of the law? At the moment, it really is difficult to measure the impact of the law because the details that will lay out the good and the bad still have to be defined in the implementing regulations for the law.
