After a period of extended delay, the General Election Commission (KPU), the Lampung Election Commission (KPUD), and the Lampung Governor finally agreed to hold the province’s gubernatorial election simultaneously with the legislative election on April 9, 2014. That being the case, Lampung province may become a litmus test for the implementation of simultaneous legislative and presidential elections in 2019.
