Coal and palm oil are two of the largest export commodities with substantial contribution to our trade balance. Their combined export value last year was US$44 billion or about 29% of Indonesia’s total export, down from US$47.7 billion in 2012. In contrast to palm oil, which recovered significantly since October 2013, thermal coal is still under pressure. Is it why Astra Agro (AALI) valued significantly higher than Bukit Asam (PTBA)?
