Adaro Energy (ADRO) produced 23 million tons of coal in the first half of 2012, substantially smaller than Bumi Resources (BUMI). Adaro, however, generated sales revenue of US$1.93 billion, just inches below BUMI. While BUMI reported net loss of US$322 million, Adaro generated net profit of US$260 million. What a contrast!
