Overseas voting for the presidential election begins today (Jul. 4) and will last until July 6. But the General Election Commission (KPU) decided that it would only count overseas votes on July 9. As such, there will be an interval of 3 to 5 days between the voting day and the day of the counting of the votes. While this may seem trivial to some, it isn’t to us. In a country plagued by corruption, we worry that said interval have exposed ourselves to a major abuse of power.
