The Indonesian government on Tuesday (April 7) issued global bonds worth US$4.3 billion, the first “pandemic bonds” issuance in Asia, used to fund the 2020 State Budget deficit and the COVID-19 relief. Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati said this issue is the largest for the country. Said bonds have three series with tenors of 10.5 years, 30.5 years, and 50 years, offering annual yields of 3.9%, 4.25%, and 4.50%, respectively.
