Thailand trade surplus narrowed sharply to US$0.6 billion in December 2019 from US$1.30 billion in the same month a year earlier. Exports shrank 1.28% year-on-year to US$19.15 billion, while imports advanced 2.54% to US$18.56 billion. For the whole 2019, trade surplus surged to US$9.60 billion from US$4.76 billion in the corresponding period the prior year, with exports and imports falling 2.65% and 4.66%, respectively.
