On Friday (Dec. 27), the DPR along with the central government represented by the Minister of Home Affairs Gamawan Fauzi and Coordinating Minister for Politics, Law, and Security Affairs Djoko Suyanto had a closed meeting at the House of Representatives (DPR) to discuss the 65 new autonomous regions proposed by the DPR to the central government. This is interesting given that the discussion to establish new autonomous regions come just moments before 2014 elections.
