Golkar’s Jakarta provincial chapter (DPD I) has made the announcement that they will support Ahok’s re-election at the Party’s regional conference (Musda) held on Sunday (June 19). Present in the event were, among others, Ahok himself and the Chairman of Golkar Setya Novanto. Ahok had personally met with Novanto. And then yesterday (June 20), the Governor met with the Coordinating Minister for Politics, Law, and Security Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, who is also a patron of Golkar. Ahok told the press that he, his group of supporters Teman Ahok, and the three political parties that have now declared that they’d endorse Ahok—Golkar, Hanura, and Nasdem—would meet in the near future.To subscribe please click here
