President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo’s has once again ordered his subordinates to go all-out in fighting drug dealers. Jokowi declared the war on drugs early in his presidency. His administration has even executed 14 drug convicts. So there’s nothing new with this. What’s interesting is the sudden regurgitation for this war cry. Cynics believe that Jokowi is simply attempting to distract the public from other legal and political issues.
