TVRI and RRI have eventually cancelled the mass layoffs after receiving a backlash from the public as well as a reprimand from the House of Representatives (DPR). This decision was conveyed by President Director of TVRI, Imam Brotosena, and President Director of RRI, I. Hendrasmo, in a hearing meeting (RDP) with the Commission VII of DPR on Wednesday (12/02). Both of them also ensured that there will be no layoff, temporary dismissal, or even fee deduction for the employees and contributors working at the two institutions. To subscribe please click here
