The government will maintain electricity tariffs in the third quarter (Q3) of 2024 or July-September 2024 for non-subsidized and subsidized customers. There is no price increase.

Meanwhile, in accordance with the provisions in the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Regulation Number 28 of 2016 jo. Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Regulation Number 8 of 2023 states that adjustments to electricity tariffs for 13 groups of non-subsidized customers can be made every 3 months referring to changes in the realization of macroeconomic parameters, namely the exchange rate, Indonesian Crude Price (ICP), inflation, and reference coal prices (HBA ).

In accordance with these regulations, the macroeconomic parameters used for the third quarter of 2024 are the realization in February, March and April 2024–exchange rate of Rp15,822.65 per US dollar, ICP of US$ 83.83 per barrel, inflation of 0 .38%, and an HBA of US$70 per ton according to the coal DMO policy.
