Jusuf Kalla, the 10th and 12th vice president, was present at the latest hearing on the trial of Karen Agustiawan, former president director of Pertamina. Karen, as we all know, is standing trial as a defendant in a case of alleged corruption. The interesting part is not the ongoing court proceedings but how Jusuf Kalla became a witness in defense or a de charge witness for Karen.
