The biggest question about the simultaneous regional elections that will be held this year is whether political parties within Prabowo-Gibran’s coalition will unite and continue to team up with the outgoing President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo to challenge the candidates from other parties outside of the coalition, including PDIP. In South Sulawesi, for example, the incumbent Andi Sudirman Sulaiman will likely run in the South Sulawesi gubernatorial election, but he hasn’t got the endorsement from any political party from Prabowo-Gibran’s coalition.To subscribe please click here
