One week after news circulated that the Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights, Eddy Hiariej, had been named a suspect by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), the anti-corruption institution finally officially announced the case. The commission explained the chronology of the case and assured the public that they had sufficient evidence before making this decision. Interestingly, different from other processes, in this process, the KPK only detained the briber, while Eddy and the other two suspects have not been detained even though they have been questioned.
