After a disappointing performance at the 2014 legislative election, many were ready to dismiss the relevance 0f the Democratic Party. Having only around 10 percent of seats at the 2014-2019 DPR, what more could the Democratic Party do? But as time went by, it became clear that the Democratic Party still had a lot up its sleeves. In fact, at every critical political juncture that followed after the 2014 legislative election, the Democratic Party managed to appear as the deciding force.
