Indonesia’s consumer confidence declined to 121.7 in September 2023 from 125.2 in the previous month, pointing to the lowest reading since last December, as almost all sub-indexes decreased. Households’ assessment deteriorated regarding the country’s economic outlook (down by 3.7 points to 131.3) and current economic conditions (down by 3.3 points to 112.2). Also, the job availability fell (by 2.9 points to 129.6), as did the job availability compared to six months ago (down 4.2 to 109.6), and current income (by 3.4 points to 117.6), while income expectations for the next six months were unchanged (at 135.2).
