Profitability Growth of HM Sampoerna

Cigarette maker HM Sampoerna (HMSP) was among the largest companies on IDX by market capitalization, but in the past five years HMSP lost 84% its value due to falling profit margins. Fellow cigarette producer Gudang Garam (GGRM) also collapsed 81% in the past four years as the government aggressively increased tobacco excise.
