Asian bourses came under pressure on Tuesday as investors grapple with uncertainty over when inflation will peak, the extension of central banks’ tightening to get it under control, and how much it will impact growth. The Hang Seng index lost 0.8% to finish at 19,503, dragged by industrials and healthcare stocks. Japan’s benchmark Nikkei 225 dropped roughly 1.2% to end at 28,453. In China, the Shanghai Composite index fell 0.1% to around 3,276. Elsewhere in Asia, the S&P/ASX 200 index declined 1.2% to 6,962, while South Korea’s Kospi lost 1.1% to 2,435.
