The Chairman of Gerindra Party Lt. Gen. (ret) Prabowo Subianto has lost support from Rizieq Shihab, the supreme leader of the disbanded hardline muslim group FPI, to run in the upcoming 2024 presidential race. At the same time, Prabowo is gaining support from new supporters, including those who previously endorsed President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo in the last two presidential elections.
