Stocks in Asia rose on Monday after Friday’s rally on Wall Street, amid hopes that the Fed may not need to tighten as much as previously feared following a further slowdown in core PCE inflation. The Hang Seng surged to a near 4-week high, and the Nikkei hit an over 5-week peak. Shares in China also gained, as Shanghai prepares to ease a lockdown that began two months ago while Beijing has reopened parts of its public transport.
