Telco operator Smartfren Telecom (FREN), controlled by Sinarmas Group, suffered a loss of Rp441.72 billion in the first nine months (9M) to September of 2021, but narrowed from a loss of Rp1.75 trillion in the corresponding period of 2020, thanks to revenue growth of 17% year on year (y/y). FREN booked revenue of Rp7.64 trillion in the said period, and it booked an operating profit of Rp5 billion.
