The drama on the law enforcer’s efforts to punish the disgraced Supreme Court Justice, Gazalba Saleh, ended in October 2024. The Panel of Judges of the Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta District Court eventually declared Saleh guilty, but until the very end, Saleh insisted that he was innocent and filed for an appeal. This week, towards the end of the year, Saleh’s appeal was rejected and instead of getting what he wanted, the Panel of Appeal aggravated Saleh’s punishment.
